Boy Porcelain

Once, there stood an infinite forest. The green horizon was home to all forms of mystic life as creatures, spirits, beasts and gods walked on the same ground as man.

Isolated in the trees sat a small village, home to a colony of people finding shelter from the world around them surviving off a stream that ran from deep within the forest. Inside, a young woman unable to bear any children had finally moulded herself a husk resembling that of a small boy and by using magic she called upon from the forest she breathed life into the husk, She sat back and looked into the eyes of the boy made of porcelain, waiting, until finally, he looked back.

He was alive.

Her use of magic caused anger within the village, yet as peaceful folk that valued life they chose not to kill her but instead have her walk forever into the forest - a fate as bad as death. While boy porcelain stayed behind in the village.

As the years past the boy porcelain became an outcast, unable to fit in and with no one to talk to, he wanted to prove he wasn't a monster to his people. As the water from the stream began to slowly deplete, the little boy porcelain decided to venture out into the forest with the aim of finding what was blocking their water supply, show the village he has a soul and hopefully find his mother again.
